Vesa Haaja, the vocalists for Agents, one of the biggest Finnish popular music groups, presents his new group in the concert Stadin nuoret (The Youth of Stadi). A special guest vocalist Sami Saari, will join Haaja and the co. on this trip to the nostalgic midway of the last century. The programme consists of best-loved hits from the 50s and the 60s.

Tuesday matinee: UMO presents Laurel and Hardy - A Cinema Concert

This concert is a sure choice for listeners of all ages! The hilarious pair Laurel and Hardy’s slapstick will be accompanied by brand new compositions, penned by some of the best score composers of our country, Pessi Levanto and Timo Hietala. UMO Jazz Orchestra will play while two Laurel and Hardy flicks from the year 1928 will be shown on the silver screen. Conductor Kari Heinilä.
Ida Boucht sings Billie Holiday with Mosabacka Big Band

Mosabacka Band Big is proud to have Ida Boucht to step into the boots of the unforgettable Billie Holiday in this tribute concert. One of the most gifted and influential singers of her time, Billie fronted Count Basie’s and Artie Shaw’s orchestras and collaborated with such legends as Teddy Wilson, Lester Youngm Harry “Sweets” Edison, Charley Shavers etc. The programme has been arranged specifically for Mosabacka Big Band and Ida Boucht.
Hurri-klubb: Steen Pramming and his band Swedish week kick-off

Steen Pramming is a producer and lyricist, known from his contribution on Amanda Oscarsson’s album Så Olika. Now he will take the stage as a vocalist for the first time to celebrate his recent EP Släpp Kärleken Fri. Expect themes ranging from heartache to escapism and musical modes from blues to classic motown – and a few surprise guests, too.
Riku Niemi 444

Riku Niemi 444 (Fore For Four) is the eponymous conductor’s new high-strung darling of a group. Their colourful programme is full of surprises from several centuries, but the red thread of groove and relentless swing keeps the show tightly together.

UMO: The Family Reunion of Blues

The sixteen-piece tunes their horns to the narrative flow, distinctive intonation and atmosphere of the genre – also a vital part in jazz music. Compositions come from Duke Ellington, Kari “Sonny” Heinilä and many others. UMO is conducted by Jouni Järvelä.
