Jazz-Espa presents 20 topical jazz acts in the heart of Helsinki

The Finnish Jazz Federation welcomes you to enjoy the annual Jazz-Espa concert series at the Espa outdoor stage, in the heart of Helsinki. Jazz-Espa features twenty topical Finnish jazz acts from the 22nd of July to the 2nd of August. Jazz-Espa is a family-friendly event with no entrance fees. The festival ends on Sunday the 4th of August with an urban mini-festival JazzPiknik at mbar’s terrace and on the Lasipalatsi square.


Into the Woodland Silence out 12 July

Into the Woodland Silence brings together the internationally acclaimed Swedish big band ensemble, Norrbotten Big Band, one of Finland's most celebrated young composers, Outi Tarkiainen, and Aili Ikonen, a Finnish jazz vocalist with a distinctive voice. Into the Woodland silence will be released on 12 July by Helsinki Jazz Underground, and album launch gig will take place at the Pori Jazz Festival on 17 July.
