April Jazz goes more international than ever

April Jazz, the biggest jazz event of the Helsinki metropolitan area, comes for the 31st time on 26 - 30 April 2017. This year’s international headliners include jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves, pianist Michel Camilion and flamenco guitarist Tamatito’s super duo, the magical Tunisian vocalist and oud-player Dhafer Yussef and Steve Gadd Band. The opening concert adds another chapter to the long list of one-off Finnish appearances featuring composer-multi-instrumentalists Marzi Nyman, Annamari Kähärä and Jarmo Saari alongside Tapiola Sinfonietta and Tapiola Choir. The programme will be complemented over the spring. Tickets are now available for purchase on Lippupiste.



Tampere-based Club Series TTT-Klubi announces guests for spring 2017

In spring 2017, TTT-Klubi club series delivers 11 artists that represent a wide spectrum of genres from pop and rock to jazz and blues. With high artistic quality and topicality as the main focuses of the spring programme, the TTT-Klubi will be playing host to a number of anniversary and album launch shows as well as premieres. 


Tampere's New Jazz Club turns a new chapter and expands

Eclipse Jazz Club, a new jazz concert series run by the local record label Eclipse Music, revs up after a successful autumn period by presenting a series of top concerts this winter. In addition to the familiar locale of Ylioppilasteatteri, this time the club series will invade Cultural Centre Uulu as well. 



We Jazz spreads around Helsinki on 4 - 11 December

The 4th We Jazz Festival is here again! Helsinki's most extensive jazz festival delivers a host of best Finnish and international jazz acts on 4-11 December. This year's international guests include American Mark Turner Quartet, Berlin-based Lucia Cadotsch "Speak Low" and Norwegian Huntsville, while Jukka Eskola Soul Trio, Dalindèo, Jukka Perko Avara and Iro Haarla Trio are among the many Finnish acts to be seen at the festival. There will also be a few collab projects, seeing Finns and international artists join forces: these include Helsinki X Berlin Ensemble, Otis Sandsjö & Friends and Dunstan. Again, the festival will also explore new venues, with concerts taking place at G Livelab, the Finnish National Theatre main stage, El Fant, Lapinlahden Lähde and Helsinki Contemporary. 


Finnish Big Bands competed over Championship in Helsinki

Co-organised by the Finnish Big Band Association and Metropolia, the Finnish Big Band Championships took place on Saturday 26 November. Sointi Jazz Orchestra and Jyväskylä Big Band won the first prize jointly, while Junior All Star Big Band came third in the competition. 



Kaamosjazz invites you to enjoy jazz and the magic of Lapland on Saariselkä

Järjestyksessään 36. Kaamosjazz järjestetään Saariselällä ja Inarissa 24.-27.11.2016. Konsertteja järjestetään tänä vuonna yhteensä 12 kappaletta ja aiemmin tuttujen konserttipaikkojen rinnalle on noussut yksi uusi konserttipaikka, Saariselälle syksyllä avattu upea Aurora -tapahtumatupa.

The 36th Kaamosjazz Festival comes again! Organised on Saariselkä and in Inari on 24-27 November, the festival will offer altogether 12 concerts this year. This year's festival will also see a new venue play host to concerts, namely the newly-lauched Aurora on the Saariselkä Fell.
