Viba is a band that operates in the twilight zone of genre boundaries. Nordic, bittersweet melancholy, Finnish lyrics, gritty synthesizers, and playful ensemble playing rooted in jazz make Viba one of the most intriguing performers in Finnish alternative pop. In addition to singer-songwriter Virva Immonen (Viba) and bassist Oskari Siirtola, the band includes keyboardist Toomas Keski-Säntti and drummer Okko Saastamoinen.

Viba is set to release their long-awaited second album Harso in the fall of 2024. In the songs that move on the border between dream and wakefulness, Viba is both forcefully direct and disarmingly fragile. The lyrics of the album are born from living with grief - from how grief can silence, corner, or incite rebellion before acceptance can even be considered.

Following their acclaimed debut album Viba (2019), the band takes a step in a more electronic direction with their second album: inspiration for synth sounds has been drawn from 70s and 80s progressive rock, fusion jazz, and electronic pop. In place of Keski-Säntti, who lived in New York during the recordings, the album features the subtle playing of Juho Valjakka.
