Known for the energetic interpretation and live performance, East Funk Attack has been preparing their third studio album with Full Power. "I Feel Surreal" is the second single from their upcoming album and was released on Friday September 20th. The song is composed by the band leader Tomi Salesvuo and lyrics are written by Salesvuo together with long time companion Julia Vuorinen. "I Feel Surreal" has a strong and energetic vibe. Kinda like "RHCP meets Janelle Monáe" with raw Rock Funk sound! Funky Bass hook sets up a base from where the story takes you to the blue skies way up high! "I Feel Surreal" is a song about the passion for music that makes you feel superb and forget all your troubles! The chorus from the song nails it:"Music makes me feel like we are not all alone, It lifts me up and keeps me high when I need a kick, Stories like in movies – I feel surreal", Tomi Salesvuo describes the song. The first single from the third East Funk Attack studio album Why don't you do it was released in the early summer 2019 prior to the band's summer tour in Denmark and Germany. Tomi Salesvuo East Funk Attack is a Helsinki based funky band founded in 2013. Tomi Salesvuo is a drummer, bandleader, producer and educator based in Helsinki, Finland. Born and raised in Lappeenranta Finland, Salesvuo has been an avid student of the drums since his early childhood. After graduating from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Salesvuo's performances with Wayne Krantz, Jim Beard, Benny Golson, Peter Weniger, Nils Landgren and Inaki Sandoval have played an important role in his career. He has performed and/or recorded with top Finnish artists like XL, Pekka Pohjola, Severi Pyysalo, Jukka Perko, Jukka Eskola, Pekka Kuusisto, Osmo Ikonen. Tomi Salesvuo teaches at the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences as an associate professor. In addition to performing internationally, Salesvuo has taught drum set master classes in many european countries, as well as in the USA and Canada.
