Teemu Kekkonen Trio is characterized by contemplative compositions, cinematic harmonies, meditative grooves, and familiar melodies. The band performs music from their new album Here/There as well as some brand new pieces. Alongside Teemu Kekkonen, the trio features bassist Mikael Saastamoinen, known from OK:KO, and drummer Roope Kantonen.

The pianist, recently graduated from the esteemed Amsterdam Conservatory, offers charming and delicate trio music with a Nordic, melodic style. Kekkonen's music draws inspiration from a variety of sources including pianists Chick Corea and Vijay Iyer, as well as pop music and Maurice Ravel's impressionism. These diverse influences give this trio a truly distinctive sound that both excites and soothes its listeners.
