ROTKO is a fusion of three phenomenal musicians, improvisers and composers, founded in 2019.

Saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen, bassist Jori Huhtala and drummer Olavi Louhivuori are all known as brave and hard-working musicians who have been leading acclaimed bands for years. Now they have heard the call to seek and look together deep into the unknown, and create something new.

The band's music combines unrestrained free expression, immersive grooves, risk-taking that balances on a knife's edge and having fun. ROTKO is of this moment, with irresistible energy that surprises its listeners.
