Rinaldi Luhtala Jazz Project's roots lead to year 2006 when pianist Karri Luhtala moved to Rome, Italy to study jazz piano. He met a fellow student, jazz singer Valeria Rinaldi - and the rest is history. 

In 2012 Konkurssi Records published duo's debut album Terranova. The duo's repertoire consists of Luhtala's and Rinaldi's original compositions and also new arrangements of Finnish folk songs.
