Pauli Lyytinen Rabbit Hole makes electro-acoustic art music within the framework of jazz. It's a unit of three fearless improvisers and explorers, Finnish saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen, Norwegian pianist Andreas Løwe and Swiss drummer Julian Sartorius. Diving into the rabbit hole one will find a rich compositional blend with colourful sonority, complex rhythmical textures and imaginary improvisations. Their motto is a famous line by Lewis Carroll: "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast".
Lyytinen is a Finnish Grammy winner, a saxophonist and composer originally from Kuopio, who operates primarily in the realms of jazz, experimental, electro-acoustic, and contemporary music. Over his 20-year career, Lyytinen has made an impact not only in Helsinki but also in São Paulo, Gothenburg, and Århus. He has released over 25 albums with his own ensembles and performed concerts in over 30 countries worldwide.
Known as an avid explorer of rhythms and sounds, Swiss percussionist and drummer Julian Sartorius was a guest on Elifantree's massive double album Hachi, released in 2021.
