The music of the Petri Nieminen Ensemble is partly crossover in style, with references to contemporary music, film music, free jazz, and tango nuevo. The ensemble has released two albums: The Brightest Matter (2013) and Night Walk (2007). A third release is planned for 2024.

Anu Komsi is one of Finland's most internationally renowned coloratura sopranos, having gained fame on opera stages worldwide. On the jazz side, Komsi has previously performed as a duo with Marzi Nyman.
