Masa Orpana Honk bring the joy and versatile rhythms of roots music to the modern jazz environment. The trump card of the ensemble is a three-saxophone section that consists of Masa Orpana, Tuomas Heinonen and Aino Heikkonen that is completed by a New Orleans-esque rhythm section.

The ensemble was originally founded in 2012 and has performed primarily as a quartet formed by Orpana, Jonni Seppälä, Ville Vallila an Juppo Paavola, with Orpana being the only saxophone. Completed by two more saxophones, the full ensemble plays Orpana's instrumentations for several wind instruments. The completed Honk played its first concert to a full house in Winter 2020.
