Pianist Juho Valjakka founded his first piano trio in 2010 and has since focused on the trio format in his artistic work. He has always been inspired by the sensitivity and versatility of this ensemble, as well as the exploration of new nuances within the traditional instrumentation. The current lineup, established in 2018, featuring bassist Oskari Siirtola and drummer Anssi Tirkkonen, represents Valjakka's current vision of the piano trio, drawing from its history while also reaching towards the future.

The trio has performed at various Finnish jazz festivals and clubs over the years, including Pori Jazz, April Jazz Club, and Porvoo Jazz Festival. Their debut album Liminal Spaces (Artie Music), released in 2022, received a nomination for the Jazz Emma Award at the Emma Gala in 2023.
