He has released several albums and collaborated with many other artists such as Tony Allen, Maurice Fulton, and Freestyle Man. The Jimi Tenor Band came together when the internationally renowned Jimi Tenor started collaborating with Finnish masters of their own instruments Lauri Kallio, Heikki Tuhkanen and Eeti Nieminen.
