Jan Simons Band (a.k.a Jan Simons) is a group led by the eponymous bassist. Active since 1997, the outfit has released two albums with two different line-ups.

The debut album, Answer, came out in 2000, featuring Finns saxophonist Manuel Dunkel, guitarist Niklas Winter, pianist Samuli Mikkonen and drummer Markku Ounaskari and on the trumpet Canadian artist Kenny Wheeler.

The sophomore, Travellers, was recorded in L.A. and released in late 2015. By now the group had undergone a change of members and a change of name: going only by the leader's name, today the group is composed of pianist Kenneth Crouch, guitarist Adam Hawley and drummer Lyndon Rochelle in addition to the leader.
