Iro Haarla's new band Iro Haarla Electric Ensemble weaves a colorful and deep world of sounds around memorable melodies, where rock rhythms, acoustic instruments and the bold spatiality created by analog synthesizers and electric guitars meet.

For this ensemble, Haarla has chosen musicians whose playing is strong and expressive. The basis of the rhythm is built on the dynamic between bassist Ulf Krokfors and drummer / percussionist Aniida Vesala. The sound of Sami Sippola's heartwrenching tenor saxophone as well as the imaginative playing of rock legend Jukka Orma and the ability to throw himself into new spheres crown the whole produced by Krokfors and Haarla.
