All prominent Finnish players were in the original Sound and Fury, including saxophonists Jorma Tapio and Pepa Päivinen, guitarists Raoul Björkenheim and Jimi Sumen who are an essential part of today's S&F also. Most of Vesala's material was orchestrated and arranged by harpist and keyboardist Iro Haarla who was Vesala's wife. Haarla is also behind the "new" Sound & Fury.

Sound & Fury is today a great "small big band" playing the music of Edward Vesala (arranged by Iro Haarla) as well as their own textures.
