Born in 2019 around Anna Dantchev's compositions, the skillful and charismatic band released their debut album Say It in May 2020 (Glomama Music). The album rose after the release e.g. to the prestigious World Music Charts Europe list and was in the top ten on the Roots Music Report list for several weeks in a row. The album was also voted as the Folk Music Album of the Year.

The band's second album The Lions We Are (Glomama Music) was released in the summer of 2022. It was the first Finnish album that was also released as an atmos version.

The band's unique instrumentation and personal, strong style, which avoids strict definitions of music genres, has brought the band an audience across genre and country boundaries. Dantchev's strong and versatile voice has been compared in some reviews to that of Nina Simone's and Mercedes Peon's avant-garde style. The humane stories sung in English and Bulgarian have received an interesting reception from the audience. Dantchev's way of combining Bulgarian singing technique with jazz sensitivity and universal storytelling in her own singing style has also been admired in international reviews. The personal style and musical background of the other members of the band blend seamlessly with Dantchev's style. Despite the young age of the band, the members of the band are all experienced in their own field.

Dantchev's music highlights the diversity of today's Finnish music and, for the first time worldwide, the Finnish-Bulgarian musical language. DANTCHEV: DOMAIN has gained a reputation as a kind of pioneer in a short time. The time is also ripe for new musical stories.
