biography

In the beginning Bogdo Ula was a duo formed by two film students, Samuli Kristian (guitar) and Ivan Horder (drums). They self-released three albums before bassist Jean Ruin joined the group in 2010. The trio describes their style as experimental jazz-rock or avantgarde jazz expressed with a rock musician's attitude. They emphasise free improvisation and do-it-yourself approach to making music. The latest album, "The Return of the Sons of Ra", came out in 2013.
