Tuomo Uusitalo is an award-winning pianist, composer, arranger and educator.

Throughout his career, Uusitalo has performed and toured with several legendary bands and musicians, including the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Jimmy Cobb, Billy Hart, Chris Cheek, Seamus Blake, Justin Brown, Dayna Stephens, Peter Slavov, Ulysses Owens Jr., David Schnitter, Rich Perry, Joe Farnsworth, Elliott Mason, and others.

Following his return to Finland after establishing himself in New York since 2012, Uusitalo formed a trio that performs original compositions and jazz standards. The band's playing is based on musical freedom while rooted in jazz tradition. Tuomo Uusitalo's Finnish trio released their first album in October 2023 on the legendary Fresh Sound record label. Uusitalo was awarded the Artist of the Year prize at Pori Jazz 2023, and the band's drummer, Roope Kantonen, was recently honored with the Musician of the Year award by the Finnish Jazz Musicians' Association.
