Elina Kuokkanen is a singer and pianist performing under the stage name Polar Traveller.

Kuokkanen has lived in Belgium since 2017. Before that, she played in the choir How Many Mothers and as a pianist and singer at various private parties. After classical piano studies, Elina moved on to combine elements of jazz and blues, although the classical background can still be heard in her music.

Kuokkanen released her first single Prisoner under the name Polar Traveller in 2022. Prisoner paints an icy landscape where the expectation of death turns to fragile hope and a snow angel is left in the middle while mythical creatures sing in the background as a chorus. The artist's other, as yet unreleased songs deal with the similar themes as Prisoner: being chained to the mind and freedom that is within reach at every moment.
