Lauri Hannu was born in 1967 in Sahalahti. He got his first guitar in 1975 and started composing music in the late seventies. Hannu studied classical guitar in conservatory and from year 1988 he has worked professionally as a freelancer in all sorts of orchestras, from city orchestras to big bands and duo performances. Currently he teaches electric guitar, electric bass and music programming at the Tampere Conservatory.
