Jenny Robson (b. 1975) began as a student of classical piano at the East Helsinki Music Institute. After Sibelius High School, she studied jazz voice for a year at the Oulunkylä Pop & Jazz Conservatory, before being accepted into the jazz department of Sibelius Academy in 1996. She graduated with a Master's degree in 2003. Currently, Robson is finishing her doctoral studies at Sibelius Academy jazz department.

During her fresher's year at Sibelius Academy, in January 1997, Robson performed as the Young Soloist of the Year with UMO Jazz Orchestra. The next summer, her victory in the Lady Summertime singing contest made a big impact on her reputation as a talented singer. Soon after, in 1999, she formed her own band, Jenny Robson Band. The debut album, Jenny Robson (omakustanne 2003), was a stylish mix of modern groovy jazz and soul, carried by strong soloists and the expressive voice of the leading lady. The texts were written by Robson, while the compositions were co-penned with the pianist, Mikael Jakobsson.

Robson's more recent group, Jenny Robson Acoustic Band, is a sextet, formed by flutist Manuel Dunkel, guitarist Teemu Viinikainen, pianist Riitta Paakki, bassist Ville Herrala and drummer Jussi Lehtonen. Their music could be described as airy, skillfully arranged, rich acoustic jazz, and it has acquired plenty of praise from critics and audience alike. In March 2007 the band was on a Jazz Federation tour - the first tour for Robson with her own band. Before, in 2002, she had toured with the a cappella group JimJamMurMur.

As a sidewoman, Robson has sung on guitarist Jarno Kukkonen's album Uni, and on the album More than a Mirror by violinist Ari Poutiainen's band NonAlike, to mention a few. In the 21st century Robson has performed twice as UMO Jazz Orchestra's soloist; first, in a concert that displayed her original compositions and later in the big band's 30th anniversary celebrations.

Apart from active performing and composing, Robson teaches jazz singing at the Sibelius Academy, the Pop/Jazz Academy Ebeli and at the Conservatory of Middle Osterbothnia.
