Harri Kuusijärvi has explored accordion music with an exceptionally wide angle. He has forged a formidable reputation for performing con­temporary repertoire for accordion, and has given concerts in several stages around the world. Kuusijärvi is actively working with many different groups of contemporary jazz and world music, such as Harri Kuusijärvi Koutus, Sole Azul and Lehtojärven Hirvenpää. He has also performed with Paleface & Laulava Unioni, Tango à la Yona, Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha, Vuokko Hovatta, Angelika Klas & Iikka Kotajan Tangotrio, Hyväluoma Group, Sampo Lassila Narinkka, Alder Ego, Anssi Salminen Band, Gourmet, Samuli Edelmann & Orkestra Suora Lähetys, UMUU Ensemble and Korvat Auki Ensemble among others. His solo albums Koutus (2014) and Music For A Family Picnic (2017) have been internationally acclaimed by critics of jazz, rock and world music.
