Signe's Syntax is the third and last part of the Onomatopoeia series.

With its latest Onomatopoeia trilogy, Signe has mapped the unexplored terrains of the human voice. The entirety of the three albums is a study of sensitization and the need to fixate and settle in changing environments. The album series develops from the smallest parts of the language, sounds (Phonemes 2021) towards syllables (Morphemes 2022), words and finally lyrics (Syntax 2023).

The group's Selma Savolainen and Josefiina Vannesluoma are responsible for Syntax's composition work and for the lyrics. They have also worked as the album's artistic producers with mixer-recorder Kaj Mäki-Ullakko. On Signe's new album, you can hear moods from Beatles-like retro sounds to futuristic pop tones.

"Although our music has veered to the side of art pop on previous albums, we especially used creative pop productions of the moment as references this time," reveals Vannesluoma.
