Finnish DJ and producer Roope Juola's, known as R Cut, album Space Jazz is an avant-garde exploration of jazz and electronic music and features award-winning Finnish saxophonist Esa Pietilä and legendary guitarist Raoul Björkenheim.

Space Jazz combines R Cut’s dynamic electronic aesthetic with the exciting sounds of Pietilä’s saxophone and Björkenheim’s guitar. The collaboration spans six distinct tracks, each offering listeners a unique journey through rich textures, surreal rhythms, and cosmic soundscapes.

With over four decades of groundbreaking guitar work, Raoul Björkenheim brings a “force of nature” intensity to Space Jazz, amplifying the album’s explorative spirit. Avant-garde saxophonist and fearless improviser Esa Pietilä adds his genre-defying expertise, enriching each track with his diverse, evolving voice.
