Biography

The fusion collective of young virtuosos, Peela, released their album Notbad on the Eclipse Music label in March 2024.

Peela gained significant recognition with their debut album Layers in 2018 and has continued to enchant audiences with their soulful music, consistently releasing singles as a preview of their album material.

Peela's songs are filled with bubbly and playful energy. The joy of playing together as a band is conveyed to listeners through catchy and groovy tracks. With strong ensemble chemistry, Peela began their musical journey in 2016, self-releasing albums in 2018 and 2020, and with the release of the Notbad album, Eclipse Music is pleased to welcome Peela to their roster.

Based in Helsinki, Peela is led by guitarist Johannes Granroth and combines jazz, funk, rock, and neo-soul, creating a captivating blend of improvisation, soulful melodies, harmonies, and groovy rhythms. Maja Mannila's vocals and Severi Sorjonen's incredible drumming are just part of Peela's multifaceted sound.
