Biography

From the streets of Jyväskylä, Salaiva is a jazz-rock band with rude voice and un expected dynamics.

Salaivas mission is to make OK melodies with restless play. In the harsh co-play of saxophone and guitar the vivid songs are set on fire by the sparks of massive bass lines. The rhythmic disorder changes to calm horizon but then it flutters again. Sometimes singing and trails of popular music, but not for radio play. Volume up and sinking is possible. The second album HÄNK is the best of Salaiva. The tight crew weigh anchor and steer towards the oasis.
