Biography

The Canadian pianist/cornetist Alan Matheson and Mikkola have collaborated almost yearly after they met in Estonia in 1998. They share an endless interest in the history of jazz. The program includes select rarities and original compositions by both. The album has received positive remarks for its intimacy, peaceful atmosphere, and its hidden intensive rhythm. As a line-up, this is a rarity.
