The acclaimed Berlin trio is complemented by saxophonist Otis Sandsjö, known from his band Y-OTIS, and producer Petter Eldh from Koma Saxo. Speak Low II will be released in November and celebrated on November 29th at We Jazz Festival.

One of the most anticipated releases of the jazz fall is the new album Speak Low II by Swiss singer Lucia Cadotsch. We Jazz Records will release the record on vinyl, CD and digitally on November 27th. The Berlin band, led by Cadotsch, is complemented by tenor saxophonist Otis Sandsjö (Y-OTIS) and bassist Petter Eldh (Koma Saxo). The trio, made up of three distinctive artists, creates music that evades genres, inspired by jazz, avant-garde music and minimalism. The album features nine hand-picked compositions, of which Lucia, Otis and Petter together form unique Speak Low versions. The album's second single Wild is the Wind is a great example of this.

The band's record release gig is scheduled for November 29th at We Jazz Festival in Helsinki.

"So ingenious is the way vocalist Lucia Cadotsch reimagines the canon of standards that the songs feel fully in the here and now. (…) Such is the spell that Cadotsch, Sandsjö and Eldh cast on these albums that it can make one feel that this is the only way age-old standards should be approached: not slavishly but fearlessly, with an unfettered imagination approaching that of the songs’ originators."
– Bradley Bamberger, Downbeat Magazine

"Cadotsch has a pleasingly spare, sober approach to singing in which the absence of vibrato is matched by a lack of excessive phrasal ornamentation that in no way reduces the emotional charge of her performance."
– Kevin LeGendre, Jazzwise

“Remember the name Lucia Cadotsch – you’re going to be hearing a lot of it.”
– John Fordham, The Guardian
