American drummer Jason Nazary’s new album will host guests artists such as trumpet player Jaimie Branch. Single Telefunk, the first taste of the forthcoming Spring Collection album, is already available via streaming.
Brooklyn-based drummer-producer Jason Nazary will release his debut We Jazz Records album Spring Collection on June 25th. The intact and spontaneous album ensemble has been recorded at Nazary’s home in New York during the spring of 2020. After a break from live music performances and social interactions, Nazary ended up composing electronic songs based on improvisation, to which he also invited a number of guest artists. The album host e.g. trumpet player Jaimie Branch, with whom Nazary has reaped fame in the acclaimed band Anteloper. The duo's debut album was chosen as one of the best albums in their release year (2018), e.g. in Bandcamp and Rolling Stone listings.
