Considered the father of Finnish beat literature, Pekka Kejonen's jazz collection has a particularly strong representation from avant-garde jazz and domestic publications. The first part of the collection will be available for purchase on Friday, October 23rd at the We Jazz record store in Vallila.
We Jazz will make a significant jazz collection available through its record store in Vallila on Friday, October 23rd. The records of the estate of the late poet Pekka Kejonen (1941–2020) find their way back to the record players of music enthusiasts in a project implemented by We Jazz and Pekka Kejonen's son Petri Kejonen. The records will also be played on Radio Helsinki programs produced by the members of We Jazz collective, on Jazz kiinnostaa and on Matti Nives, as well as on IDA Radio's We Jazz program.
Pekka Kejonen's collection includes about 1200 vinyl records and 2000 CDs, as well as jazz-themed books and DVDs.
