The eight installment of the annual We Jazz Festival will be held from 29th of November until 5th of December in Helsinki. Tickets go on sale on Monday 7th of September at 9am via Tiketti. We Jazz 2020 showcases topical jazz artists from Finland and abroad making the city a week-long jazz utopia.
We Jazz Festival, held at the darkest time of the year, serves top jazz in Helsinki for seven days from November 29 to December 5. The program includes Finnish front-line artists, such as Verneri Pohjola Quartet and Timo Lassy Trio featuring Finnish jazz legend Reiska Laine. The series of mini-festivals taking place within We Jazz will continue under the auspices of Superposition Festival, led by drummer Olavi Louhivuori. This year, We Jazz will also host Nordic Jazz Comets, co-produced with Jazz Finland, featuring selected Nordic jazz newcomers Ingibjörg Turchi Band (IS), Kjetil Mulelid Trio (NO), Post-Sun Vision (SE), Svaneborg Kardyb (DK) and Kadi Vija Key Project representing Finland.
For We Jazz, the health of the audience, performers and staff is paramount. The audience capacity of the venues has been significantly reduced to ensure a pleasant and safe experience. The festival arrangements strictly follow the recommendations of the authorities for the implementation of a safe event.
