Vibraphonist Panu Savolainen will release his new album Soiva in February 2021. A podcast will also be published in connection with the album.
Vibraphonist Panu Savolainen will release his new album Soiva on Friday, February 19, 2021. The album presents the ensemble Panu Savolainen's Soiva Trio, consisting of Savolainen, accordionist Harri Kuusijärvi and bassist Eero Seppä. The ensemble recorded the album’s songs at the Villa Vikan in Raasepori in the middle of the corona spring of 2020. With the release, the trio will head to Finland for a tour covering 11 locations in February-April 2021.
In connection with the Soiva album, the third season of the Panurama podcast hosted by Panu Savolainen will also be released. The season will focus on the stages of making the album and making music in general. The season includes one episode per album track, for a total of 13 episodes. Earlier seasons of the podcast can be heard e.g. on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
