Vie meren tuoksuun - Lasse Mårtenson's 80th Anniversary Concert

Lasse Mårtenson is known as a versatile talent. A pianist, composer, lyricist, arranger and conductor, Mårtenson has been a major and long-standing presence in the world of entertainment both in the limelight and behind the scenes. UMO will be joined by several soloists such as pianist-conductor Olli Ahvenlahti, vocalists Mikael Konttinen, Sofia Finnilä and Annimaria Rinne – and Mårtenson himself on the piano.

Roberta Gambarini as UMO's soloist in November

Italian vocalist Roberta Gambarini has been dubbed as the best jazz vocalist in 50 years. Her infallible technique, velvety-soft sonorous voice and unerring sense for improvisation and - not least her astonishing vocal range have earned her several jazz prizes and two Grammy nominations. She has collaborated, among others, with Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, Christian McBride and Roy Hargrove.

The Prescription album-launching concert with Lenny Pickett

The legendary sax man from Tower of Power and Saturday Night Live joins UMO at Savoy-teatteri to celebrate the European release of their collaborative album. Pickett has, during his long career, worked with several influential figures, such as David Bowie, Elton John, David Byrne and Katy Perry. Surprising as it is, The Prescription is only the second solo album for Pickett, which makes UMO all the more proud to play by his side.

Christmas concerts for every mood

"Christmas at Savoy" approaches the theme from a more soulful angle with Diandra, Pepe Willberg, Osmo Ikonen and Aili Ikonen as guest artists.
