The opening concert of the new year honours big band music and golden oldies of jazz. Ville Vannemaa conducts the concert and the orchestra’s own stars perform solos of their own favourite pieces.
Logomo’s clublike MOVE hall acts as the venue of the concert. The audience gets to enjoy music from Buddy Rich Band to Quincy Jones. The 17-piece Turku Jazz Orchestra shows its talents with these legendary pieces such as Eero Koivistoinen’s Kukonpesä and Burt Baccarah’s The Look of Love.
