Turku Jazz Orchestra goes to the Baltic Sea with charismatic vocalist Mikael Konttinen. On the last weekend of May the Viking Grace cruise will definitely give a brisk start for the summer in a style of Las Vegas!
Big Band On Board cruise is held from 26th to 27th of May. The 17-piece Turku Jazz Orchestra with their vocalists entertains the audience with two concerts offering the best hits from Tina Turner, Frank Sinatra and Elvis among others. The programme includes great love songs such as "Something Stupid" made famous by Frank and Nancy Sinatra and guaranteed party hits like Robbie William’s "Let Me Entertain You".
Charming interpreter Mikael Konttinen is a great choise for vocalist for this groovy concert. Konttinen became known to the public after he performed at Independence Day Reception in 2008, and has since performed in various TV programmes, musicals and as a soloist for numerous orchestras. Besides Mikael the cruise concerts welcome two great women on stage, Jutta Annala and Manna Borg.
The concert on Viking Grace is the first co-performance by Turku Jazz Orchestra and Mikael Konttinen so the festive spirit is guaranteed!
