Tampere's Työväen Teatteri theatre has set up a series of jazz concerts called "TTT-klubi". The three club nights take place in the theatre's restaurant. The opening night is already sold out, but there's still a chance to get tickets for the two upcoming concerts.
This Friday, September 27th, features a special combo: Verneri Pohjola on trumpet, Timo Lassy on sax, Aki Rissanen on piano, Antti Lötjönen on double bass and Teppo Mäkynen on drums. The band plays the music of Miles Davis and also their own, original compositions.
The next TTT-clubs line up Teemu Viinikainen Trio (18.10.), led by one of Finland's top jazz guitarists, and HERD & Aili Ikonen's Jazzbasilli production (15.11.), who dive into the golden era of Finnish jazz schlagers.
