Top Nordic jazz in Åland at Åland Sea Jazz August 4–5, 2023

entry-image

Åland Sea Jazz serves a high-quality Nordic repertoire on the 4–5 August in the heart of beautiful Mariehamn.

Friday 4 August starts with a solo performance by Max Zenger, who takes the audience on a memorable journey with the softest notes of the alto saxophone in the atmospheric Seamen's Chapel. In the evening, Antti Lötjönen Quintet East and the soulful Swedish Lina Nyberg Band will take the stage in the cultural center Alandica.

Saturday 5 August on the picturesque island of Kobba Klintar, listeners are entertained by Reija Lang's newest ensemble, Langitude Quintet. You can buy a ticket that includes boat transportation to the concert, or you can arrive with your own boat and buy just the concert ticket. Luminous Viktoria Tolstoy and Kaisa's Machine piloted by the skillful Kaisa Mäensivu, will crown the evening in the cultural center Alandica.

Music continues both evenings after the concerts with free jam sessions at the nearby Hotel Arkipelag's restaurant Compagniet.

Advance tickets for all concerts are sold by Tiketti. In connection with the purchase of a ticket, it is possible to support the marine environment work of the John Nurminen Foundation in Tiketti. Tickets are also sold at the door, if the concerts are not sold out in advance.
