The three cancelled tours that were to take place this spring, move to late March–May 2021. Jazz Finland hopes to continue the national jazz tours already in September if the pandemic situation allows.
The three tours that got cancelled this spring due to the covid-19 outbreak, were Pope Puolitaival Nordic 4 (co-production with Creatika Ltd.), Aki Rissanen Trio (co-production with Raitala Music Ltd) and Kadi Vija Key Project.
The following tours are now postponed to take place in nearly the same timeframes in the spring of 2021:
- Jazz Finland tour Kadi Vija Key Project (4–22 May 2020):
Postponed to 3–16 May, 2021 - Creatika Agency co-production Pope Puolitaival Nordic4 (23 March –22 April, 2020):
Postponed to 22–28 March & 12–18 April - Raitala Music co-production Aki Rissanen Trio (1–8 April, 2020)
Postponed to 30 March – 11 April & 20–25 April
Final dates may be a subject to change.
Jazz Finland is most thankful to its member organizations and other concert promoters, who stretched to redo their schedules in these difficult times, and make these tours happen.
Jazz Finland looks forward to start the first ”post-pandemic” tour season on September 2–12 with a double-bill: Pianist Kari Ikonen plays his new Kandinsky-inspired material back-to-back with the Finnish-Danish JAF Trio, who also present a new album on the tour.
Should there be further restrictions that would prevent traffic or events and affect the fall season tours, Jazz Finland is on standby to inform of any changes immediately.
