Spring season 2020 of April Jazz Club presents high-quality program of international and Finnish jazz performers. Program consists of instrumental and vocal jazz, and a couple of visits to soul music with special singer legends. Concerts are held in Tapiola, Espoo.
The spring season brings plenty of high-quality female-lead bands to the stage: Yrjö-awarded Riitta Paakki with her quartet, Danish jazz vocalist and songwriter Mette Juul and singer and composer of lyrical vocal jazz, Anna Inginmaa, to name a few.
International guests include Swiss VEIN Trio, British vocalist Carl Avory and "soul goddess" Martha High and the Soul Cookers.
Finnish artists include Jukka Eskola Soul Trio, performing their only gig in Finland this spring, and Sami Linna Quartet and Kadi Vija Key Project on Jazz Finland tours . The season starts with Screaming Jay & The Bones on 31th January.
Concerts are opened by Ebeli students at 6pm. The main act will perform at 7pm onwards.
