Jazz Finland Festival, that is organized in Helsinki in 18 - 21 September 2014, presents in its seminar program views to international music business and production of jazz events.
The seminar program of Jazz Finland Festival has now been released. The seminar extends from Wednesday to Sunday on 17 - 21 September 2014 and it includes topical speeches and panels from the field of jazz music held by significant international and national jazz actors. Such topics as the co-operation between Europe and Asia on the field of jazz, challenges in the event production and co-productions between several countries are raised and handled in the seminar.
The seminar is organized in Crowne Plaza Hotel, situating in the centre of Helsinki. The members of EJN and the representatives of media can attend the seminar for free, for the other attendees the festival costs 200 € / 250 € (incl. dinner on Friday night). Finnish Jazz Federation, together with Music Finland, Sibelius Academy and Europe Jazz Network organizes a Finnish showcase festival and an international export event in Helsinki on September 18 - 20, 2014. Jazz Finland festival includes a wide repertoire of live concerts open to public, a seminar and network events for international jazz professionals. Tickets for the concert programme will be on pre-sale at Tiketti and Lippupalvelu on May 5th.
Jazz Finland also hosts the European Jazz Conference for over a hundred participants who represent the core of European jazz professionals and provide a unique possibility to open doors for Finnish talent to go international. As a part of the festival programme, also young Nordic musicianship is being presented in a form of the Young Nordic Jazz Comets showcase. YNJC features upcoming jazz bands from all the Nordic countries. Jazz Finland festival is the biggest showcase event ever organized to promote Finnish jazz.
