Summer Jazz Club brings once again young jazz talents to Poppari club monthly from May to August.
Organised from May to August, the Summer Jazz Club presents every month two up-and-coming jazz groups with original material. Indeed, the philosophy of the club series is to provide visibility to new groups and, thus, further the local jazz culture. The club series is supported by the Finnish Music Foundation.
Inaugurated last summer, Summer Jazz Club proved that there is an increasing demand of jazz concerts in Jyväskylä and that the audience’s interest grows in pace with the supply. The concerts start at 9:00PM and the ticket price is 8/5 € (discount for students, pensioners).

The club series is kicked off on 26 May with two relatively different groups stepping on the stage. The local Henrika Steidel Quintet plays 1983-born pianist Aaron Parks' music with new lyrics and Helsinki-based Samuli Rautiainen Trio gives a nod to the Blue Note piano trio sound.
