The programme for the Pori Jazz Festival’s main concert on Thursday, 16 July, is now complete, and with it the performers for all Kirjurinluoto main concerts taking place on 16–18 July have been announced. The Thursday line-up is rounded out by Sweden’s Magnolia, the UK’s The Brand New Heavies, Finnish act Pratt & Moody, and the Jazz Suomi 100 Nyt! ensemble led by saxophonist Mikko Innanen. Ticket prices rise June 1, 2026.

The Gothenburg-based band Magnolia draws its influences from the golden age of soul music. The group features two of Sweden’s leading vocalists, Albin Lee Meldau and Arvid Nero, as soloists. The Brand New Heavies celebrate a career spanning more than 30 years with a grooving blend of soul, funk and jazz, along with numerous internationally successful hits. Pratt & Moody (Tuomo Prättälä and Markus Nordenstreng) represent the Finnish soul and americana tradition, accompanied by the band Cold Diamond & Mink.

The Suomi Jazz 100 Nyt! ensemble is part of the centenary celebrations of Finnish jazz, which will culminate in 2026. This celebratory band, assembled by Mikko Innanen, offers a timely overview of the history and present day of Finnish jazz. The soloists shining in the ensemble are Juhani Aaltonen, Emma Salokoski and Kalevi Louhivuori, with rhythm duties handled by Mikko Innanen, Teemu Viinikainen, Kirke Karja, Eero Tikkanen and Mika Kallio.

The diverse programme of the Pori Jazz main concerts spans from soul and funk to modern R&B and jazz legends. Tickets for the festival’s main concerts are available nationwide through Ticketmaster.
