Despite the long and eventful corona spring, Porvoo Jazz Festival will be held again this year. The venue will be the festival's own home stage, Vanha 123, and the pop-up club 123 Kellari, which can be found downstairs. The festival's cooperation with Porvoo Art Hall continues, where you can enjoy music while admiring the exhibition of Kristin Wiking & Nina Wager. In addition to domestic jazz professionals, the festival will also get the long-awaited international color for the festival.
The tree-day festival will feature Petri “Pope” Puolitaival with his first solo project Nordic4, Susanna Alexandra Quartet, Reiska Laine Quintet, Norwegian Kjetil Mulelid trio, Mikko Karjalainen Fellowship feat. Paleface, Sami Saari and Jazzpojat, Jukka Linkola's band The Tentet, Maija Sariola and Susanna Lukkarinen, Kadi Vija & Seppo Kantonen duo and Ilmiliekki quartet.
Porvoo Jazz Festival is an event organized with a big heart, which invests in quality and an intimate festival atmosphere with a bohemian touch. The artistic director of the festival, drummer Jaska Lukkarinen, is responsible for the artistic content. The concerts will be organized safely, taking care of good hygiene and the necessary measures.
