Porvoo Jazz Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.
On Friday 11 March the concert program of 2022 will finally begin, when even the last restrictions on gatherings have been lifted. The program for the anniversary year includes 11 Porvoo Jazz Clubs, as well as the larger Porvoo Jazz Festival from 23 to 25 September. The first Porvoo Jazz Club of the year brings with it an international breeze, when the New York-based young guitarist Olli Soikkeli and his quartet take the stage.
Olli Soikkeli (b. 1991) has become one of the most respected gypsy jazz guitarists in the world, despite his young age. In Porvoo he will perform together with Grammy-winning pianist Marian Petrescu, bassist Joonas Tuuri and drummer Aleksi Heinola.
