The upcoming We Jazz Records LP Speak Low II by Lucia Cadotsch is the Jazz Album of the Month at The Guardian.
Berlin-based Swiss vocalist Lucia Cadotsch will release her long-awaited second album Speak Low II November 27th on We Jazz Records. UK newspaper The Guardian picked the upcoming release as their Jazz Album of the Month. John Fordham writes: “Speak Low II foregrounds Cadotsch’s crystal-clear lyricism more than its predecessor without ever cramping the freedoms of her classy improvising partners. She brings a graceful accessibility to a personal and ingeniously offbeat setup.” Read Fordham’s review here.
Speak Low II features Cadotsch on voice, Otis Sandsjö (of Y-OTIS) on tenor saxophone and Petter Eldh (of Koma Saxo) on double bass, and introduces guest artists Kit Downes on hammond organ and Lucy Railton on cello.
