Turku Conservatory and Turku Jazz Orchestra organise Rytmimusiikin viikonloppu (Weekend of Jazz) for the second time for professional and amateurs musicians and jazz enthusiasts.
The three-day event includes workshops tutored by Severi Pyysalo and Johanna Försti, a jam session, concerts showcasing the big band school and Turku Jazz Orchestra and Johanna Försti's collaboration concert Lady Sings the Blues at Börs Night Club. The big band school opens its doors to audience on Saturday 10 October from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. Workshops are aimed at students of the big band school but other events are open to all those who are interested.
