Singer Minna Lasanen headlines the 13th annual Rajaton Jazz Festival in Vuotalo on February 15.

Rajaton Jazz Festival in Vuotalo on Friday, February 15 at 7.00pm.

International Rajaton Jazz music festival takes place at Vuotalo Culture Center for the 13th time.

The star of the concert is Finnish jazz vocalist Minna Lasanen who will be performing with pianist-composer Valeri Nikitin’s and his Niki’s Four Jazz Band. The ensemble plays jazz classics with great swing feeling.

The second act of the evening is singer Sini Hämäläinen with her trio. They combine the aesthetics of jazz and pop songs with an open mind. Traditional jazz standards and music from the 2010s blend together perfectly – whatever the song is, it bends to bebop, swing or bossa nova in a blink of an eye!

This edition also sees the festival expanding to three locations in Paloheinä, one of them being Art Jazz & Inna In Style Cultural Club on two nights, February 13 and 16.

Festival Performers:

  • Minna Lasanen – Vocals;
  • Niki’s Four Jazz Band: Jarmo Rouvinen – saxophones, flute; Valeri Nikitin – piano; Jukka Kampman – double bass guitar; Juha Salminen – drums
  • Sini Hämäläinen Trio: Sini Hämäläinen – vocals; Jussi Liski – piano; Eerik Siikasaari – contrabass.
