Pauli Lyytinen Magnetia Orkesteri releases a new album "Hypnosis" on March 13th, and launches a Finland tour of ten concerts soon after that. The first single "Rhodiola Rosea" from the eagerly awaited album is given in the end of February.
Improvising and acoustic jazzquartet is known for their imaginative expressions and open-minded attitude into musicmaking. Composer Pauli Lyytinen plays also saxophone, and other members include trumpeter Verneri Pohjola and double bassist Eero Tikkanen and drummer Mika Kallio.
The new album "Hypnosis" takes listeners into ethereal soundscapes to explore themes of subconscious, space and time. Also some new elements into the instrumentation are introduced with gongs by Mika Kallio and plus pedals by Pauli Lyytinen and Verneri Pohjola. The album is released on 13th March on Eclipse Music. Album release tour starts on 16th March and reaches 10 venues in a few weeks.
