Panurama club’s autumn season starts in September

The season begins with trio 3TM at National Theatre’s Lavaklubi on Friday 7 September.

Panurama club series, hosted by vibraphonist Panu Savolainen, starts the autumn season with top-notch names of Finnish jazz as the Lavaklubi stage is taken over by 3TM trio on Friday 7th Spetember. The trio, including drummer Teppo Mäkynen, saxophonist Jussi Kannaste and bassist Antti Lötjönen, was rewarded with Jazz-Emma earlier this year. They perform Mäkynen’s compositions, which combine acoustic and electronic soundscapes. At Panurama club 3TM is accompanied by harmony instrument as the host Panu Savolainen joins the trio with his vibraphone.

Together with vocal ensemble Signe, consisting of Josefiina Vannesluoma, Selma Savolainen, Riika Keränen and Kaisa Mäensivu October’s club night on 5th October offers a unique combo of four vocalist and a vibraphone. On 2nd of November the audience gets to enjoy soundscapes of a bass clarinet and a vibraphone as Panu Savolainen welcomes Tapani Rinne from Rinneradio as his duo partner. The autumn season ends on 7th December with Savolainen’s new trio compositions for vibraphone, accordion and double bass. Savolainen performs the pieces together with Harri Kuusijärvi and Eero Seppä.

Panurama club series, started in the spring 2014, is hosted by Panu Savolainen, who is best known for his celebrated band, Herd. Every month, Panurama club welcomes one Finnish music stars as a guest and together with Savolainen they create an interesting and surprising musical entirety. Earlier the club has featured artists such as Johanna Iivanainen, Matti Johannes Koivu, Maria Kalaniemi, Aili Ikonen, Minna Pensola, Timo Lassy, JPP, Jukka Perko and Felix Zenger.
